Why We Ask You to Apply
The Impact Commons is a non-profit community for all.
We use a short application to:
ensure members are aligned with the community's mission
protect participants from spam and misuse
support meaningful, trust-based conversations
Who Should Apply
You are encouraged to apply if you are:
building an impact-first company or initiative
working inside a mission-driven organization
investing in or allocating capital toward impact-driven work
ppreparing to build or invest responsibly in the impact economy
If you are unsure whether you qualify, you are welcome to apply and share your context.
What the Application Includes
We ask simple questions to understand who you are and what you're working on:
your full name
your email address
your current role or professional context
what you're building, investing in, or working on
why you identify as an Impactist
how you heard about us (optional)
The entire application takes less than 5 minutes to complete.
How Applications Are Reviewed
Applications are reviewed by the Impact Commons team within 2-3 business days.
We look for:
Evidence of active involvement in impact-focused work
Alignment with the values and mission of the Commons
A clear sense of why joining would be mutually valuable
We do not evaluate applications based on funding raised, team size, pedigree, or network status.
The review is about alignment, not achievement.
After You Apply
If Accepted
You'll receive a Slack invitation and welcome message with instructions for getting started.
You'll have full access to all channels and
resources immediately.
If Not Approved
We'll send a respectful note explaining why we're not a fit at this time.
You're always welcome to reapply as your work evolves.
